what i felt is also a problem, is that wenn i see a spam post on the english section of the bord, i cant delete it. I mean i know thats why we are grouped up into german and english mods, but isnt there a possible solution that wthe german mods can at least delete spam in the english section and vice versa?

Its kinda sad that most of the few posts come from spam...

I know the English moderators are deleting their asses of, with this much spamm. The problem should be solved by it's base I think, and not with alternative extra solutions.

Thats the problem. i talked to GUN Records. Im trying to get a new board soon. Not a phpbb2 board.

As long as opensource solutions will be used, spamm will be there.
I don't think switching different board makes that much sense, and at the end it will cost more time. There are several good/big/popular boards, phpBB is one of them, and they all have this modern problem (because spamm bots are not really visiting the/this page(s) they only know the architecture of the scripts). All these (opensource/free) forums have best practices to avoid it! Please read my topic:

Have to agree, its gone too far.(Ive also deleted similar stuff last couple of days).
I think its a crying shame that the record company dont seem to consider
Sandras internet presence to be important enough to spend a bit of cash to try fix things.

As Harry has already suggested, i think the best thing would be to close the board untill a new one can be launched with the proper support system in place, cos its probably doing more harm that good right now.

Hmm I only agree with Lee in this one!
Open source boards have the same problem. By closing this forum and make a new one you will loose accounts and members and thats not needed while you can solved these problems by good security!
